Strange Little Wanderer Goes to Calaguas Islands (Day 3)

We only stayed a little bit after breakfast on the third day. By around 10, we were all set to go back to Daet.

Last group pic in Calaguas. We promised ourselves we’d definitely go back.

The tour that we availed came with a surfing side trip to Bagasbas Beach. The surfing lessons are optional only and comes with an additonal fee of P400 for 1 hour. The boat ride back was surprisingly not as eventful as the previous one. The ocean was calm and still. However, it was raining when we reached Daet. Good thing surfing lessons were still on. We were fetched by a jeepney in Vinzons Port. After stopping by a pasalubong store, we were transported to Bagasbas Beach. We ate lunch at a carinderia in front of the beach. After lunch, it was time to go surfing! It was my first time to try surfing.

Akala ko di ka makakatayo eh,” my surfing instructor said

My teacher asked me if I can ride a bike so I said no. Yeah, I’m one of the few people who has never learned how to ride a bike. So he said that it was only natural for me to have a hard time balancing on a surf board because surfing is harder than biking. But it was so much fun and I definitely would try it again. Our lessons actually lasted for more than an hour. Hehe.

Super strong waves

We would definitely come back to Calaguas. It’s the perfect place to just relax and be a beach bum. Of course we’d book our tour with the cool guys from Calaguas IAdventure again. For more info about their tour packages and rates, check out their page or contact Kuya Mark on Facebook.

Here’s our travel video made by Mac. 🙂
